I like the lighter background too. It might be neat with the wheat leaves on the side of it.

FWIW - I like flag #1. Or maybe a reverse of #2 — dark blue field, light blue seal w/ (is that tan?) or gold image, surrounding lettering in tan or gold.

National Anthem — either "Mañana" or "Wasting Away Again in Critterville"
National Beverage — the Margarita
National Wildlife Animal — the Manatee (Trichechus manatus buffettii)
National Tree — One Lone Palm (Cocos nucifera solo)
National Mineral — Silica (a/k/a beach sand)
National Fish — Land Shark (Carcharodon terra carcharias)
