Critterville Cove High School - Home of the Fighting Blue Footed Boobies!
Here in Critterville Cove, I am the class of '77. The "other" me (real life) graduated 1977 from Western Branch H.S. in Chesapeake, VA - the "Bruins" - school colors blue and gold. I also attended Churchland H.S. in Portsmouth, VA - the "Truckers" (honest) - school colors were orange and black.
CCHS would find me in the same graduating class as me in the parallel universe ("real" life)... Class of '91. We were (and still are) the Indians and our colors were red, white, and blue.
In the "other" world, I graduated in 1972, but not from the school I started out with. Freshman and sophomore years were at Thomas Aquinas High School (a Catholic HS in La Crosse WI) -- colors were blue and gold, and the teams were the "Blugolds" (OK, so it ain't too creative, but it's also not too likely to offend anyone).
Junior and senior years were at La Crosse Central High. Colors were black and red; the teams were called the "Red Raiders", and the logo was a silhouette (red, of course) of an Indian chief on a horse. Fast-forward 20-plus years; the teams are still the "Red Raiders", but for the sake of 'political correctness' the logo was changed to a red silhouette of a knight on a rearing horse.
Gotta get me a Fighting Boobies shirt -- just wonder if I could wear it at work without HR getting into a snit about it. Memo to self -- learn all you can about the blue-footed boobie..............
In the 'Other World' I grad'd HS in '70.....(that's 1970) from Watertown HS in Watertown NY (where Harry Chapin spent the longest weekend of his lyfe one afternoon). Colored purple and white, we were (and still are) The Cyclones.
